Here in Japan the playgrounds are everything. I was so surprised by everything I saw my first time gong it made me instantly realize how much I will miss them when we leave. First, cleanliness is key for me so I was SOLD our first visit here! This particular playground closes every 90 minutes for cleanings and I don’t mean a little disinfect sprayed into the air… I mean everyone leaves the building and stations are wiped down and sanitized, mats are cleaned and rolled to remove lint from socks… the list goes on & it’s pretty amazing. There are three “playtime” slots and those cleanings are done after each one- each day. During playtime though children have a blast here and if you have multiples don’t worry it’s accommodating to all ages with infant only play areas, to a nursing – women only- room. Even personal wall cribs for your infant. This is my favorite part- the hand washing station. We always have a blast here and love just how different this is compared to any other indoor playground we’ve ever visited. A must for young children during the winter months here in Misawa. Once you enter you remove your shoes and place into the cubbies or into a (free) locker if needed. I emphasize free because typically in the states these aren’t provided free of charge you typically have to rent one. Also of course there is a vending machine and this particular vending machine has a served hot soup option! We definitely love a lot of what Japan has to offer, especially for families and what is better than free fun? This place will surely be missed by us.
